Registration Procedures

Introduction:

The NAA has developed an improved registration system that enables the registration of cattle with certain percentages of known Nadudana bloodlines in a Main Registry and an additional Appendix Registry for those with low or no recorded ancestry that can pass a grading by appearance.
This registration and grading system will allow for some degree of upgrading and will best ensure future development of the breed with adherence to the breed standard.

These are the grades of registration

FP – Foundation Pure – Main
Full pedigree can be traced back 4+ generations of registered 100% Nadudana ancestry OR
Full pedigree can be traced back to original imports on both sides.

PB – Purebred – Main
A Graded plus 2 or more registered PB/FP grandparents (the remaining being unregistered or unknown but not crossbred) OR
3+ registered PB/FP grandparents (87.5% Nadudana crossbred – grading voluntary)

AP2 – Appendix Level 2
B Graded plus minimum of 2 registered PB/FP grandparents OR
A Graded unknown/undocumented ancestry OR
Known 2nd cross (75% Nadudana crossbred)

AP1 – Appendix Level 1

Gradings
