Katherine Alcock (President):
Katie’s roots are deeply embedded in the East Coast of New South Wales, where she grew up on a farm, fostering a natural affinity with animals, a connection to the land, and a knack for tinkering with machinery. Her passion for agriculture led her to acquire a Diploma in Agriculture, and alongside her husband James, she now owns a property in the Northern Territory.
The couple’s journey with Nadaudana began serendipitously while searching for cattle yards. Intrigued by the breed, they soon established a herd of 19 Miniature Zebu on their 100-acre farm. These unique cattle have proven to be a perfect fit, and Katie and James have been captivated by their charm and the joy they bring. The herd has since expanded to nearly 115 head.
Katie’s enthusiasm for Nadaudana is encapsulated in their motto, “spread the word, spread the herd.” As President of the Nadaudana Association Australia, she is committed to promoting and growing the presence of this remarkable breed. Her leadership is driven by a deep-seated passion for agriculture and a dedication to sharing the wonders of Nadaudana with a broader audience. Katie’s story is one of lifelong devotion to the land, animals, and the thriving community she now helps lead.
Jodi Brown (Vice President):
Jodi’s lifelong passion for cows has shaped her journey in extraordinary ways, even inspiring a memorable cow-themed wedding. Driven by a dream to own her own cattle, Jodi never imagined it would become a reality. This dream materialized when she and her family purchased a 5-acre property and built their home. Remarkably, before the construction was complete, Jodi’s aspirations were fulfilled with the arrival of her very own herd of Miniature Zebu (Nadaudana). She has been captivated by this unique breed ever since.
Despite being on a steep learning curve, Jodi’s dedication to promoting the Miniature Zebu is unwavering. These charming, small-acreage-friendly cattle are known for their quirky nature and ease of handling, making them ideal for first-time owners. Jodi is committed to sharing the joys and benefits of this delightful breed with others.
In addition to her role with the Nadaudana Association, Jodi is a devoted mother to four neurodivergent children, aged 14 to 20. Balancing her responsibilities, she also runs her own business in the disability sector. Jodi envisions a future where her beloved herd can bring the same joy and therapeutic benefits to her clients that they have brought to her family.
As Vice President of the Nadaudana Association Australia, Jodi is passionate about fostering a supportive community for Miniature Zebu enthusiasts and expanding awareness of this remarkable breed. Her story is one of dreams realized through dedication, love, and an unyielding spirit.

He, together with wife Josie, maintain a small herd, now numbering a dozen, on their 22 acre farm and are hoping to popularize the breed among hobby farmers in South Australia. Graham is a scientist with a specialisation in genetics, but applied to fish not cattle. He currently spends much of his year overseas working for the UN based in Rome, Italy, and thus manages his herd remotely. Graham took up the role of Registrar in late 2020 and is committed to developing a herd book and a registration system that meets the needs of all Nadudana breeders in Australia and facilitates the expansion of the national herd and the breeding of quality cattle.

Mikayla Zanetti (Committee Member):
Mikayla is realizing her childhood dream of owning and running her own hobby farm in the South West of Western Australia. Alongside this, she manages a Pilbara-based branch of companion pet rescue (SAFE) and is a devoted single mother to her son.
Her journey with Nadaudana began in 2015, during a holiday in the Goldfields, where she encountered Mushroom, the tiniest cow she had ever seen. Instantly enchanted by its diminutive size, Mikayla’s fascination led her to discover the Aussie Mini Zebu. However, she soon realized how rare these delightful creatures were, making her dream of owning one seem elusive.
Despite initial setbacks in locating these rare cattle, Mikayla’s passion remained undeterred. Her aspirations were reignited in 2022 when she came across the newly re-formed Nadaudana Association Australia (NAA). While she isn’t quite ready for cattle ownership just yet, Mikayla has immersed herself in learning about the breed and is committed to contributing to the burgeoning Nadaudana community.
Honored to be nominated for a place on the NAA committee, Mikayla is dedicated to supporting and growing this unique breed’s presence in Australia. Her story is one of persistence, passion, and a deep commitment to both her personal dreams and the broader community.
